Western Downs Regional

The Western Downs Regional Council area is located in south-west Queensland, about 300 kilometres north-west of the Brisbane CBD. The Council area encompasses a total land area of about 38,000 square kilometres. Rural land is used largely for agriculture, particularly grain and cotton growing, with some sheep and cattle grazing and broadacre farming.

The Meandarra ANZAC Memorial Museum is a nationally recognised museum that showcases the bravery and sacrifice of the Anzacs and all those who have served in Australia's armed forces.

Described as unduly lavish in 1877, the restored former Warra Railway Station ha been relocated to the park on the Warrego Highway and provides clean and convenient facilities. The park offers an overnight rest area with 48-hour maximum stay (donations of AUD5 per night appreciated).
