Coorong

The Coorong District Council area is located in the Murraylands Region of South Australia, about 180 kilometres south-east of the Adelaide CBD. The Coorong District Council area is predominantly rural, with small townships at Coonalpyn, Meningie, Tailem Bend and Tintinara, and numerous smaller settlements. Land is used largely for agriculture, particularly grain growing and dairy farming, with some sheep grazing. Fishing is also an important industry. The Council area encompasses a total land area of nearly 9,000 square kilometres.

Suitable for tent or swag, this camp site is only accessible by boat, camping is available next to the lagoon and sand dunes in the upper northern section of the park. Access is from Goolwa or Mundoo Channel Boat ramps or Hindmarsh Island.
Bonney Reserve Nature trail is an easy walk through some interesting vegetation to a lookout with marvelous views.
Amazing part of SA at the mouth of the River Murray. Great for fishing and famous for fresh Coorong Mullet.
