Waverley

The Waverley Council area is located in the inner-eastern suburbs of Sydney, about 7 kilometres east of the Sydney GPO. The Waverley Council area is bounded by the Woollahra Municipal Council area in the north and west, the Tasman Sea in the east, and Randwick City in the south.

MacKenzie Point Beach is one of the smallest beaches in the state, and it is not always there due to the limited explorable surface area and incoming tides. This is a popular place used by fishers, sunbathers, and waders examining the low-tide ecosystems. With high splashing waves, private areas to relax and view the surrounding landscape, Mackenzie Point makes for a great place to chill out for a few.
Aquabumps started in 1999 back when the internet was brand new and social media didn’t even have a name. It began as a hobby … a photo a day from the beach emailed to mates. It grew organically. Twenty years later Aquabumps’ photographs are now seen by hundreds of thousands of people, daily.
Its combination of beaches, parks and spectacular views make this walk unique. It started out as a state project during the 1930s, it now extends from Ben Buckler Point to the southern end of Waverley Cemetery (and on to Coogee; for information call Randwick Council).
