Southern Grampians Shire Council, located in South West Victoria has a landscape dominated by the spectacular Grampians mountain range, ancient volcanoes, tranquil rivers and waterfalls and undulating pastoral land dotted with majestic red gums, is area of 6,652 square kilometres with a population of over 17,000 residents, is a progressive and vibrant community with outstanding recreation facilities, highly regarded schools, excellent medical facilities and a safe family friendly environment.

The view from the summit of the Piccaninny (Bainggug) walk provides excellent views of Mt Abrupt (Mud-Dadjug) and the nearby town of Dunkeld with its impressive and unique landscape. Take the gradually climbing track through open forest that provides stunning wildflower displays during Spring.
The Sir Reginald Ansett Transports Musems is dedicated to the transport and tourism pioneer Reg Ansett, who commenced his transport business in Hamilton, Victoria in 1931. The museum is based on the Ansett company's original aircraft hangar, which has been relocated in Hamilton and displays a collection of over 1,000 objects from throughout the history of Ansett Airlines.
Mount Abrupt is a steep track that winds its way through Grampians bushland and up sandstone rocks to the summit. Once at the summit, take in the wonderful views of the Serra Range to the north and over Dunkeld in the south. Keep an eye open for wedge-tailed eagles, nankeen kestrels and peregrine falcons. For the best walking experience explore Mount Abrupt in Spring to early Summer.
