Charles Sturt

The City of Charles Sturt has long been considered the sporting and entertainment hub of Adelaide, with national basketball, soccer and football stadiums, three privately owned golf courses, an international rowing course, the River Torrens Linear Park, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the coast and numerous highly regarded local sporting venues in the area. The City is also well catered for in terms of schools, medical services, local sporting and community facilities including libraries and community centres.

This spectacular nature walk starts from Athelstone and winds for 35 kms along the River Torrens to the river mouth at Henley Beach. You can also start the walk at the Adelaide Zoo or the Adelaide Festival Centre and follow the River Torrens for 12 kms to the beach. It loops around so that you walk on both sides of the river.
Grange Beach has a picturesque jetty and calm clear waters, making it the perfect spot for families to go fishing and swimming. Another great thing about Grange Beach is that you can get there easily by train from central Adelaide, with the station being just two blocks away from the palm trees and Norfolk Island pines that line the beach.
The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is an indoor arena located in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It is used for sporting and entertainment events.
