The City of Tea Tree Gully is located in Adelaide's north eastern suburbs, between 9 and 25 kilometres north-east of the Adelaide GPO. The City encompasses a total land area of about 95 square kilometres. The Highercombe Hotel, a prominent landmark in the historic township of Tea Tree Gully, was opened in 1854.
